2017 Capital Home and Remodeling Show's "Smart Home": Farmhouse Fresh

For this “Smart Home” at the Capital Home and Remodeling Show the inspiration was “Farmhouse Fresh”. The design is an updated twist on a farmhouse look, using weathered solid woods, textured neutral fabrics, hand welded accent furniture, and an Americana color palette with pops of layered blues and rich reds. This year’s show display was a Smart Home so we incorporated items with Smart Features.

The Dining Room featured the Foundry Collection by Kincaid, the Blue Cowboy Stools by Trisha Yearwood, and the Tristan Tufted Back Accent Chair.

• The dining chair fabric is made by Sunbrella for Kincaid, allowing for the comfort of an upholstered seat but without the worry of how to clean it up.

• The Foundry Sawbuck table features self-storing, refectory style leaves for easy conversion when guests visit.

• A dining bench is a great way to add extra seating without taking up much extra space in your room.

• Solid wood construction is always a smart feature for long-lasting quality.

The Living Room featured the Cloud Sofa, the Garrett Wall Unit, the Irondale Curio, the Shadowbox Coffee Table, and the Harmon All Leather Reclinert.

• The Garrett wall unit features barn-door style doors to easily hide your television when not in use.

• A slipcover is a great idea for a casual, comfortable sofa. Choosing a pre-washed fabric allows you to launder the slipcover as needed.

• The Bradington Young Leather Recliner is truly a “chair that reclines” instead of a traditionally bulky recliner, offering a more refined look that’s still comfortable.

• The cocktail table offers a fun display option and the glass is easy to clean. Entertain guests and don’t worry about condensation rings damaging the finish while you showcase something inside the table.

• The room’s most unique piece is the small bar converted from a tractor. Shop unique “one-of-a-kind” pieces throughout Belfort’s showrooms.

The Bedroom featured the Tildon Bedroom Group.

• The clean, modern lines combined with a weathered gray finish of the Tildon collection made of solid pine offers a perfect bedroom for the “Farmhouse Fresh” style. Remember, the solid construction means lasting quality!

• The bed features “lamp assist”- buttons that are mounted to the side of the headboard that allow you to turn on and off items that you have plugged into the bed. That means no more reaching over to the far side of the bed to turn off a lamp.

• As with all of the Aspenhome bedroom collections, the LIV360 nightstand has a nightlight underneath for easy movement in the dark, plus outlets and a USB charger built in so that you always have access to charge your devices without trying to crawl behind the bed.

• Add an interesting accent chair (one-of-a-kind vintage leather and burlap chair from Outlet featured) for a place to sit while putting on your shoes (or if you are like me, to pile some clothing!)

The Front Porch and back Patio Area featured a Tall Accent Cabinet(not made for outdoor use), one of a kind wood and rope chairs, an accessory metal cart, and Outdoor Furniture.
